Travel Insurance Waiver

1. Recommendation of Travel Insurance

Alpenglow Travel strongly recommends that all clients purchase comprehensive travel insurance prior to departure. Travel insurance can provide coverage for trip cancellation, trip interruption, medical emergencies, emergency evacuation, lost or delayed baggage, and other unforeseen events.

2. Acknowledgment of Risk

By declining to purchase travel insurance, you acknowledge that you understand the financial risks of traveling without coverage. These risks include, but are not limited to, loss of non-refundable trip costs due to cancellation, medical expenses incurred abroad, and emergency evacuation costs.

3. Release of Liability

If you choose to travel without insurance, you agree that Alpenglow Travel, its owners, employees, and advisors shall not be held responsible or liable for any financial losses or expenses incurred as a result of your decision not to obtain travel insurance, including but not limited to trip cancellation costs, medical bills, or emergency transportation.

4. Supplier Cancellation Policies

Many travel suppliers (hotels, airlines, tour operators, cruise lines) have strict cancellation policies that may result in partial or total forfeiture of prepaid costs. Travel insurance is the primary means of protecting against these losses.

5. Medical Coverage Abroad

Most domestic health insurance plans provide limited or no coverage for medical treatment outside your home country. International medical treatment and emergency evacuation can cost tens of thousands of dollars. Travel insurance with medical coverage is essential for international travel.

6. Waiver Declaration

By proceeding with your travel arrangements without purchasing travel insurance, you acknowledge that you have been informed of and understand the risks, and you voluntarily assume full financial responsibility for any losses that could have been covered by a travel insurance policy.
